Unknown Beauty

The moonlight paints pale white bars in the air
As it passes through the large luthern
Her head lay back gently and her eyes close
As the cool beams dance on her skin

My hands tremble and my heart pounds
As though to leap from my chest
Enamored at sight of her bathed in soft light
And I become hers alone to possess

Her lovely form accentuated by her polonaise
My eyes drink in the exquisite nectar
I memorize every detail for fear she will vanish
Perchance only an angelic specter

Her pale skin like fine porcelain lacking blemish
Glows in a radiance without rival
Enslaved by her beauty I am willingly subjugated
Holding in her hand my loves survival

Turning with a graceful elegance, she faces me
Her hazel eyes so beguiling scintillate
Ripping down the ramparts so long in the making
Ownership of my heart I willingly abdicate

Red lips, so tempting, memorize as they gently smile
My mind races as I am overcome by fantasy
So vivid my imaginings I can feel the our lips touch
My tongue grows restless to taste ecstasy

Passing through the lancet close enough to touch
She brushes by without a word spoken
So undeserving of such a dream made flesh am I
Entranced I am struck mute and left broken
